The Institut de Formation Carbone collects personal information through forms, order forms, and registration forms, among other means.

Introduction

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter the “Policy”) explains how IFC collects and processes your personal data and how you can exercise your rights in relation to your personal data.

IFC is committed to collecting and processing your data in a lawful, fair, and transparent manner, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the amended French Data Protection Act of 1978.



The collection of personal data from its prospects and customers is limited to what is strictly necessary, in accordance with the principle of data minimization.

Data Collected

The personal data we collect is as follows:

  • professional contact details, such as your last name, first name, email address, postal address, and phone number(s);
  • identifiers used to access your online account, i.e., your username and password;
  • communications with us, which may include details of conversations that have taken place via email, mail, or our coaching service;
  • browsing history, such as pages visited, date of visit, location during visit, or IP address;
  • payment information for purchases made on one of our websites. No data relating to your means of payment is requested and therefore is not stored by our company.

We collect and process your personal data for the following purposes:

  1. to process your payments if you purchase one of our products or register for a training course, to keep you informed of the progress of your order, to respond to your questions and requests for information, and to assess and process your complaints;
  2. to process and respond to your inquiries and requests sent by email, telephone, or via our websites;
  3. to develop and improve our products, services, communication methods, and the functionality of our websites and/or applications;
  4. to communicate information to you and to manage your participation in one or more of our training courses;
  5. to better understand your expectations and take them into account in future updates to our products and training services. ;

We may also have a legitimate need to process your personal data to comply with legal or regulatory obligations.


Storage, security, and use of your data

Your personal data is stored on secure servers and files and is only accessible by authorized IFC personnel for the purposes described in this Policy.

We share data with external service providers only when and to the extent necessary to fulfill your orders and requests or to improve the quality and accessibility of our services.

The service providers and subcontractors we have selected guarantee that they provide solutions that comply with European data protection regulations, in particular by implementing technical and organizational measures to ensure that personal data is stored securely for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected.

Your personal data will not be shared or disclosed for purposes other than those described in this Policy. However, we may disclose your data for other purposes where required by law and/or government authorities.


With regard to the security of your data, the IFC takes steps to protect and secure your personal data through technical and organizational measures: we use access controls, secure servers, and protect files containing your personal data with encryption and passwords.

Although IFC takes reasonable measures to protect your personal data, no transmission or storage technology is completely secure. In accordance with applicable European regulations, in the event of a proven breach of personal data that is likely to result in a high risk to the rights and freedoms of the individuals concerned, we undertake to notify the competent supervisory authority and, where required by said regulations, the individuals concerned.


How long we keep your data

Your personal data is kept for the entire duration of the service you have subscribed to.

However, upon your written request (by mail or email), your data will be deleted from our files. In this case, the services to which you had access will no longer be available to you.


Your rights

Subject to the limits provided for by the regulations, and in particular our legitimate interest in processing your personal data in order to fulfill your orders or comply with legal obligations, you have the following rights with regard to your personal data:

  • the right to information about the processing of your personal data;
  • the right to access your personal data and the conditions of its processing;
  • the right to rectify your personal data when it is no longer up to date;
  • the right to erase your personal data;
  • the right to restrict the processing of your personal data;
  • the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data for the future, when your data is processed on this basis;
